Our Story

Dirty Water Donut Shop started with a simple idea: create apparel that celebrates the people and communities that make Boston feel like home.

What began with Boston Police apparel quickly grew when we started creating pieces for family members working as nurses at Boston-area hospitals. Those first healthcare designs opened the door to something much bigger. We realized how many people wanted apparel that represented not just where they worked, but the teams, departments, professions, and communities they were proud to be part of.

Today, Dirty Water Donut Shop creates custom and ready-to-shop apparel for nurses, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, physicians, healthcare staff, teachers, police officers, firefighters, EMS professionals, unions, departments, hospitals, schools, local organizations, and communities throughout Boston and beyond.

From individual sweatshirts and tees to department-wide group orders, custom hospital designs, union apparel, and gear for entire teams, our goal has stayed the same: make it easy for people to wear what they’re proud to represent.
